Focus on User Experience

Next week, I’ll be in Washington D.C. attending Adaptive Path’s fifth annual User Experience Week. U/X Week focuses on the design of effective web applications — from the user’s perspective. There are some great speakers lined up, including Steve Johnson, author of Everything Bad Is Good for You; Jeffrey Veen, a founding partner of Adaptive Path, project lead for the nifty Measure Map and now Design Manager for Google; and Yahoo’s Bradley Horowitz, whom I’ve mentioned before.

I’m really looking forward to the face-to-face interaction, and hope to return armed with great ideas for the various web projects I’m involved with. I’ll be posting daily recaps right here, so check back all week.
