I’ve been testing the new web-based Trillian Astra and it looks pretty damn nice. The interface will be familiar to anyone who has used the Trillian desktop application. I’ve been able to connect to the AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! and MSN networks just fine.
There are no frills, but its in a nice package and works pretty damn good. It uses Flash, so in theory, it should work on any OS that can support Flash, including OS X and Linux.

Any chance that they included some invites for you to give to friends along with the test version of Trillian Astra? Every picture or preview I see of Astra makes me want it even more. I love the current Trillian, but this looks to be leaps and bounds better. I’m also very fond of Meebo, but if Trillian has what it takes to do better than Meebo using a web interface, then I welcome it. Keep the great previews coming!

Its quite nice, especially when i’m at the college library and all they have is GAIM. And while GAIM is…ok, the web version of Trillian is great, both visually and functionally.

Once we will have added Gateway support to OneTeam, we believe that it will be the Meebo / Astra / KoolIM killer
I think most user do not like the desktop, windowing approach of those client. OneTeam looks like a true desktop client. See:
